About Rohan
Rohan Bell is a pastor, teacher and author based in New South Wales, Australia. Together with his wife Jill, he serves as Lead Pastor of AnchorPoint Church across multiple locations.
Rohan writes to help everyday Christians read Scripture more carefully, follow Jesus more faithfully, and think with greater biblical clarity. His books and teaching often focus on familiar passages, difficult questions and areas of discipleship where faith needs to be worked out honestly in real life.
Rather than treating the Bible as something to be explained quickly or used as a set of easy answers, Rohan encourages readers to slow down, pay attention to context, ask better questions, and allow Scripture to shape not only what they think, but how they live.
His approach has been shaped by formal study, years of pastoral ministry, preaching, teaching, group discussion, podcast conversations and the ordinary questions people bring to faith. He also has a strong interest in biblical history and has travelled to the lands of the Bible on several occasions, deepening his love for the places, context and world of Scripture.
Across his writing, Rohan brings a pastoral and accessible style that is thoughtful without being overly academic, practical without being simplistic, and honest about the complexity of following Jesus in everyday life.
Whether writing about biblical places, familiar words of Jesus, desire and contentment, politics and echo chambers, or encouragement for church leaders, his aim is the same: to help people engage with Scripture in a way that is clear enough to understand, deep enough to keep returning to, and grounded enough to shape a life of faithful discipleship.
